These comics will make you laugh so hard, you’ll need to bring some tissues. Comedy Nights on the Upper East Side

Comic Strip (1568 2nd Ave, between 81st and 82nd Street)

Comic Strip opened its doors in May of 1975. Known as being “the most booked club in the city”, legendary comics such as Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, and Eddie Murphy have all set foot on this stage. This Upper East Side comedy venue is a must-visit for all New Yorkers.

Comic Strip offers multiple comedy shows every night with a two item minimum (food or drink). Tickets start at $23.83.

Rodney Comedy Club (1118 1st Ave, between 61st and 62nd Street)

Rodney Comedy Club (formerly Dangerfield’s) offers comedy shows and open mic nights several nights a week. Ticket costs vary- head to their website https://rodneycomedy.com/ for a list of upcoming shows and events.

The Stumble Inn (1454 2nd Ave, at 76th Street)

The Stumble Inn is an iconic neighborhood spot designed to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The Stumble Inn offers an extensive menu and affordable cocktails with exceptional service. Featuring a huge outdoor seating area and 26 high-def TVs to show all the games, this place will never let you down for a good happy hour and comedy show!

Food recommendations – Buffalo chicken wings, Famous stuffed burgers, mozzarella sticks, crispy chicken sandwich 

Drink recommendations – spiked hot cider & cocoa, draft beer selection 

The Stumble Inn hosts Monday night comedy at 8:00 PM.

Stella and Fly (1705 1st Ave, between 88th and 89th Street)

Stella & Fly is a coffee shop & wine bar located on 1st Avenue between 88th and 89th Street. In the evenings they have special events such as trivia nights, live music, and DJ’s.

Stella and Fly hosts Stand Uptown open mic comedy shows on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM. Head to Stand Uptown’s Instagram page to confirm upcoming dates.

Not A Speakeasy (301 East 84th Street, at 2nd Avenue)

“Not a Speakeasy” is the newest speakeasy on the Upper East Side. They offer over-the-top cocktails and throwback snacks such as Dunkaroos and Gushers. This is the perfect spot for grabbing photogenic drinks such as their rubber duck and lego cocktails.

“Not A Speakeasy” regularly hosts “Dessert First Comedy Show”. Tickets for this show include beer, wine, bubbles, a specialty cocktail, and a black and white ice cream cookie sandwich. Head to their Instagram for upcoming dates and to snag your tickets. 

Iggy’s (1452 2nd Avenue, between 75th and 76th Street)

Iggy’s is a karaoke bar that has been an Upper East Side staple for over 15 years.

In addition to nightly Karaoke, Iggy’s hosts Bingo every Tuesday at 8:30 PM, run club every Wednesday at 7:30 PM, and comedy nights, including frequent performances from Rat Race Comedy. Head to Rat Race Comedy and Iggy’s Bar on Instagram for upcoming dates.

The Gaf NYC (1696 2nd Ave, between 88th and 89th Street)

The Gaf offers occasional comedy shows in their beautiful backyard outdoor space. Be sure to check their Instagram page to stay in the loop about upcoming shows!

Ryan’s Daughter (350 East 85th Street, between 1st and 2nd Ave)

Ryan’s Daughter hosts a monthly comedy night featuring well-known comedians (featured on Comedy Central, Conan, and more). Check out their Instagram and Eventbrite page for more info.

Somebody’s Darling (1664 1st Ave, between 86th and 87th Street)

Somebody’s Darling hosts a comedy night every Tuesday at 8:00 PM. Check their Instagram page to confirm upcoming dates and line-ups.

Yesterday (7/14/26), the NYC Health Department rel Yesterday (7/14/26), the NYC Health Department released a list of 76 buildings on the Upper East Side with cooling towers that tested positive for Legionella bacteria via PCR screening - an increase from the preliminary list of 31 buildings released last week.

Of the 76, 57 buildings have already completed the required cleaning and disinfection, and the remaining 19 must complete it by Thursday, 7/16.

According to NYC Health, it remains safe to use air conditioners, shower, and drink tap water, and there is no additional risk from being inside these buildings. 

if you’re experiencing flu-like symptoms, please reach out to your doctor right away!

Yesterday, NYC Health released a preliminary list Yesterday, NYC Health released a preliminary list of buildings with cooling towers that tested positive for Legionella during initial PCR screening.

This map shows the locations across the Upper East Side.

Sharing a quick UES update: Yesterday, the NYC Hea Sharing a quick UES update: Yesterday, the NYC Health Department released a preliminary list of 31 buildings on the Upper East Side with cooling towers that tested positive for presence of Legionella bacteria. 

The NYC Health Department announced that 19 have completed remediation, and 12 are expected to be completed today.

As additional testing is completed, this list may expand. We will be sure to keep you updated as more news is shared.
