Upper East Side and Beyond: Cheers to Spring 2023

UES and Beyond is launching “Cheers to Spring” with the goal of bringing attention to its favorite Upper East Side bars and restaurants while also helping UES locals find cool spots in the neighborhood.

“Cheers to Spring” participants receive an event booklet containing vouchers for 7 free cocktails (1 for each different day of the week) redeemable March 20th through June 4th, 2023 with any food purchase.

Horn’s Hook Tavern 

1589 1st Ave. (at 83rd Street)

Horn’s Hook Tavern opened their doors in 2020 – not knowing the world was about to shut down! Initially, Horn’s Hook Tavern was known in the neighborhood as just a bar, but with their unique food menu and Michelin-level chefs, they’re also recognized as a fantastic restaurant.

Horn’s Hook Tavern is a fun neighborhood spot where you can watch a game, eat delicious food and enjoy inventive and fun cocktails. 

Horn’s Hook Tavern gives Yorkville a fun and innovative space where both regulars and new customers feel like they’re a part of a family.

Osteria Nando

Brainchild of Nando Gorchian of Cafe Buon Gusto notoriety, and longtime NYC Chef, Teo Navarrete, Osteria Nando is a French Mediterranean Bistro specializing in modern Mediterranean cuisine.

Osteria Nando opened their doors in the midst of the pandemic, and quickly gained a following of loyal neighborhood patrons from their welcoming atmosphere and unique and flavorful menu. 

Whether you are looking for traditional French dishes such as Beef Bourguignon or innovative vegan options like their vegetable curry, their menu has something for everyone. 

While at Osteria Nando, be sure to try:

The Jeffrey

The Jeffrey is your neighborhood Beer Garden, Gastro Bar and Cocktail Lab. Featuring an infinite selection of “gastro-bites”, The Jeffrey offers in-house pickling, jerkey, cheese, charcuterie and more. 

The Jeffrey has an extensive cocktail menu with creative drinks featuring frozen drinks and cocktails that include fresh fruit and premium spirit. In addition to the cocktail menu, The Jeffrey offers craft beer with over 30 taps of international and area brews.

In addition to the “gastro-bites”, The Jeffrey also features all types of sandwiches, tacos and, of course, an exciting brunch.

Five Lamps

Looking for a place where you feel at home? Five Lamps is a local neighborhood bar that creates a comfortable and fun atmosphere suitable for any occasion. 

A contemporary take on a classic Irish pub, Five Lamps offers a diverse drink menu featuring high end cocktails, beers, and delicious ciders. In addition to classic bar food, their menu also features unique Irish specials. Whether you’re going for dinner with your girlfriends, Trivia Thursday or have the Sunday Scaries, Five Lamps hits the mark for anything you’re craving.

Tacombi is the food and beverage brand whose mission is to connect people to the food and culture of Mexico. Founded in 2006 on the beaches of Mexico, the brand now operates 15 taquerias across the U.S.

Bringing together distinct flavors, ingredients, traditions and techniques from across Mexico’s 32 states, Tacombi’s menu offers a variety of tacos and other Mexican snacks alongside ice-cold beer, cocktails and house-made juices in lively settings.

Jones Wood Foundry is a food driven pub with locally sourced ingredients fueling their constantly evolving menu. “A taproom with an English Charm”, you can find a meal for brunch, lunch or dinner, as well as various types of draft beers, ciders, brunch cocktails and more. 

Jones Wood Foundry offers a unique layout in every room; their warm and rustic dining room, airy brick-walled bar room, and finally their hidden garden, which is a dry and heated outside area. You will feel transformed to London sitting at a British Pub!
