Cheers to Summer 2024

Hello Upper East Siders! Ready to beat the heat? Cheers to Summer is back with a fantastic line-up of restaurants offering refreshing cocktails, allowing you to quench your thirst without breaking the bank. By joining Cheers to Summer you can enjoy 7 new cocktails around the Upper East Side for the price of 1! 

Cheers to Summer takes place between June 24th through September 2nd. Participating restaurants include Fillmore Backroom, Hollybrook Lane, Maria Mulata, Mikado, Shaken Not Stirred, Tacombi, and Third Ave Ale House.

Fillmore Backroom 

1668 3rd Ave. (between 93rd and 94th Street)

Tucked away behind the legendary Fillmore Deli, The Fillmore Backroom is a secret K-pub with the nostalgia of a vinyl listening room.

The atmosphere hums with the rhythm of rock and roll memorabilia, inviting patrons to bring their own records to enjoy on their sound system while sipping on Sake and enjoying tasty Korean bites.

When you visit be sure to try the Scallion Pancakes, Korean Fried Chicken, Korean Ramen, or the Chopped Cheese Sandwich. Join them for Neighborhood Hour everyday 4:00-7:00 PM! 

Hollybrook Lane

1712 1st Ave (between 88th and 89th Street)

A neighborhood restaurant immersed in community, genuine hospitality, southern food, craft cocktails & curated music. Come here for a lovely dose of Southern hospitality in the heart of the Upper East Side. Pro tip: You’ll want to pay special attention to the playlist while you’re here, just trust us.

While at Hollybrook Lane be sure to try the cajun wings, creole pops, skate meunière, or the cajun fried chicken. Drinks you should definitely order are the #COOP or the Jungle Strut!

Hollybrook Lane offers Happy Hour every Wednesday-Sunday 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM. Happy hour includes $2 off select food and drink items.

María Mulata 

10Z07 Lexington Ave. (between 72nd and 73rd Street)

“We are María Mulata, a brand that has been in the works for 12 years and is now in the vibrant city of Manhattan. We started on Long Island with an idea, and have since evolved to represent the authentic essence of Colombia.

At María Mulata, we are proud to symbolize iconic elements and we strive to represent every corner of Colombia with nature, art, elegance, and biodiversity.”

While at María Mulata be sure to try the Empanada, Carreto Criolla, Grilled Salmon with Cilantro Sauce, Green Paradise, or the Tres Leches. 

Weekly Specials at María Mulata: 

  • Taco Tuesday: $15 for three tacos and a margarita, 12:00-7:00 PM
  • Lunch Special: $14-$17 lunch plates, available Monday-Friday 12:00-4:00 PM
  • Happy Hour: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM- 6:00 PM

Mikado

800 Lexington Ave. (between 61st and 62nd Street)

“Mikado offers a delicious Japanese dining experience in the Upper East Side. Our dedication to excellence is unwavering, as we exclusively serve the freshest ingredients, along with carefully sourced seaweed, homemade sauces, and our renowned rice prepared to perfection. 

Customers love us for our delicious sushi, handrolls, and Japanese fare.” 

While a Mikado, be sure to try the Crispy Rice, Super Bowl, Sushi, or Handrolls. Additionally, be sure to take advantage of their weekday lunch specials! 

Shaken Not Stirred

1113 1st Ave. (at 61st Street)

Shaken Not Stirred has quickly earned the reputation as being considered one of the best cocktail bars on the Upper East Side. 

Their cocktail menu features a carefully curated selection of classics, innovative creations, and seasonal specialities, each infused with a sense of artistry and creativity. 

Inspired by James Bond, be sure to try their “007” Vesper Martini, which in true Bond style is served shaken, NOT stirred. Some other cocktails to try include the Cotton Candy, SNS Pornstar, or the Sexpertise.

Join them for Happy Hour Sundays through Fridays 4:00-6:00 PM.

Tacombi

202 East 70th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Ave.)

Tacombi is the food and beverage brand whose mission is to connect people to the food and culture of Mexico. Founded in 2006 on the beaches of Mexico, the brand now operates 15 taquerias across the U.S. 

Bringing together distinct flavors, ingredients, traditions and techniques from across Mexico’s 32 states, Tacmbi’s menu offers a variety of tacos and other Mexican snacks alongside ice-cold beer, cocktails, and house-made juices in lively settings. 

As Tacombi opens kitchens in new cities, each new taqueria is participating in growing The Tacombi Foundation’s impact, with a mission to advance Mexican communities through education and food accessibility. As part of the foundation, The Tacombi Community Kitchen provides local food relief for families and neighbors in need by donating thousands of meals made at each taqueria kitchen. 

While at Tacombi, be sure to try the Sandia Santa, Guacamole con Totopos, Birria Taco, Avocado Tostada, or the Gringa Quesadilla. Every Tuesday Tacombi does a BOGO Taco deal! 

Third Ave Ale House

1644 3rd Ave. (at 92nd Street)

Third Avenue Ale House is your go-to neighborhood pub. They serve over 20 craft beers, seasonal cocktails, and also have incredible happy hour specials plus two pool tables. 

They have the best late night happy hour around with $5 food & drinks, EVERY NIGHT starting at 9:00 PM! 

While at Third Ave Ale House, be sure to try their famous Old School Nachos, Smash Burger (available in beyond meat), and Wings. Recommended cocktails include the Hibiscus Rosemary Margarita, The Midnight Express-o Martini, and The East of Lexington Dirty Martini.

Third Ave Ale House always has something special happening. If you’re in the mood for Happy Hour check them out Monday through Friday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4:00PM! You can also test your knowledge at their Wednesday Night Trivia from 7:30 PM. They have prizes for three winning teams, wing Wednesday all day for $10, and beer specials all night!
