What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a medical treatment that promotes healing by allowing you to breathe pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. While the air we normally breathe consists mostly of nitrogen, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy delivers pure oxygen which optimizes oxygen delivery throughout the cells in your body.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is approved by the FDA to help treat a range of conditions, including burns, carbon monoxide poisoning, hearing loss with unknown causes, wounds, and more. Additionally, it has been used by those looking to increase cognitive performance, memory, and overall wellness. Sessions last 60-90 minutes, and it is typically recommended to complete 5-40 sessions depending on your specific needs.

Stepping Inside Noah Clinics: The Experience

When we first entered Noah Clinics, we were greeted by friendly staff in a large beautiful lobby which gave off similar vibes to a Medical Spa. We were then shown around their state-of-the-art facilities that include multiple rooms with private, medical-grade hyperbaric units. Each Hyperbaric Chamber has an adjustable bed, flat screen TV, and a two-way communication system for easy communication with staff.

Before treatment, we had a consultation with Dr. Matthew Brackman, board certified physician and Medical Director of Noah Clinics. During our consultation we had a chance to ask questions about the treatment and discuss our medical history and treatment goals. Afterwards, we were taken to a changing room and then shown to our Hyperbaric Chamber.

Our Hyperbaric Oxygen session lasted for a little over one hour. For the first nine minutes and the last nine minutes we felt a change in pressure, similar to the feeling of going underwater, or a change of cabin pressure during a flight. We loved that the Hyperbaric Chamber had a flat screen TV, so we could relax and enjoy some entertainment during the treatment. The staff at Noah Clinics ensured that we were relaxed and comfortable during our session, with frequent check-ins.
