Must-Visit Medical Spa on the Upper East Side: Verve Medical Cosmetics

Is there anything better than living in New York City? World-class dining, art and entertainment is never more than just a quick uber ride out of reach. However, one of the cons to living in the city that never sleeps is the toll that it can take on your skin. With a busy lifestyle and frequent exposure to environmental factors- self-care is essential in order to feel your best.

If you have been feeling in need of a refresh to enhance your well-being both inside and out, then be sure to pay a visit to Verve Medical Cosmetics located on East 60th Street. I recently had the opportunity to try out their iS Clinical Fire and Ice Facial (also known as the “Red Carpet Facial”) and it was exactly what was needed to feel like my best, most radiant self.

Keep reading to learn more about the various offerings at Verve Medical Cosmetics and what makes this medical spa so unique.

What is Verve Medical Cosmetics?

Verve Medical Cosmetics was established in 1999 and has helped thousands of patients over the course of their 20+ year practice. They have since expanded to three locations: New York, New Jersey, and Miami.

Verve is committed to helping clients obtain natural-looking results without surgery. Led by Dr. Stephen Bracci (a leading doctor in the field of cosmetic medicine with training from Yale School of Medicine, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and more), they have developed several innovative non-surgical procedures, including:

  • EyeRise™, a non-surgical eye bag removal procedure available exclusively at Verve. This procedure reduces the appearance of eye bags and restores the skin to its original appearance through the use of different cosmetic fillers. Check out some before and after photos here (prepare to be amazed by the results).
  • BaseLift™, a non-surgical facelift procedure performed exclusively at Verve. This treatment sculpts the face, lifts sagging skin, and restores natural shape without any surgery or stretching of the skin. Check out the results here.

In addition to the above procedures, Verve offers a variety of treatments including facials, microneedling, laser hair removal, hair loss treatment, fillers and injectables, non-surgical Rhinoplasy, IV vitamin drip therapy, and more.

Wondering which treatment is best for you? Head to their website to schedule your consultation.

Our Experience at Verve Medical Cosmetics

Verve Medical Cosmetics is located on East 60th Street (just half a block from Bloomingdales). They have a beautiful multi-level space with a cozy seating area on the first floor.

I tried their iS Clinical Fire and Ice Facial with RN Jeniffer Kim who made the experience fun and relaxing from the moment she welcomed me into their beautiful space. The Fire and Ice Facial is also known as the “Red Carpet Facial” or “Hollywood Facial” because it provides immediate results, making it a favorite for celebrities before big events (many Met Gala attendees received this facial this year at The Carlyle while getting ready).

I LOVED this facial- it provides both an immediate glow as well as long lasting results (refined skin, diminished blemishes, and an improved appearance of fine lines and wrinkles), which is rare for a facial without any down time.

The facial began with an intensive resurfacing masque (the “Fire” portion) which uses glycolic acid and retinol to resurface the skin. Don’t be scared by the description of “Fire”- it was a little tingly but perfectly comfortable. Next was a foaming enzyme treatment that dissolves dead skin cells and cleanses the pores. The final step is the rejuvenating masque (the “Ice” portion) which uses hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and green tea to hydrate and soothe the skin.

I also tried the optional dermaplaning add-on which removes dead cells and peach fuzz to smooth the skin and enhance the absorption of skincare products. It also helps with more even makeup application.

The whole facial lasted approximately one hour and felt luxurious, comfortable and relaxing. The results were immediate- I left the spa with glowing skin. It is the perfect way to treat yourself and provide your skin the care that it needs to look and feel brighter, smoother, and more radiant.

Luckily, you do not need an invitation to the Met Gala in order to try out this facial for yourself- Verve Cosmetics is currently offering a special to try their Fire and Ice facial for just $170 ($50 off!). Book your appointment here.
