Up Thai (1411 2nd Ave, between 73rd and 74th Street)

Up Thai has been serving authentic Thai food on the Upper East Side for several years. With a charming ambiance featuring hanging lamps throughout the restaurant, Up Thai regularly updates its menu with fresh ingredients while maintaining traditional flavors. Whether for a romantic date night or a night out with friends, Up Thai is a great dining option.

While at Up Thai, be sure to try the Kea Mao (spicy), Red Curry, Pad See-Ew, and Pineapple Fried Rice.

Thep Thai (1439 2nd Ave, at 75th Street)

Thep Thai promises an exceptional dining experience with its outstanding food menu, instagrammable atmosphere, and charming outdoor huts. Thep Thai offers a polished and extensive menu with a wide variety of bites, starters, entrees and more. Additionally, Thep is highly accommodating to customers with gluten-free and vegan food preferences. Thep is a great spot for a date or night out with friends or coworkers.

While at Thep, be sure to try the Crispy Spring Roll, Chive Pancake, Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice, Gaeng Phed Ped Yang and Lamb Panang. Also try their “Bird of Paradise” cocktail which is served in a bird-shaped cocktail glass!

Zabb PuTawn (1584 1st Ave, between 82nd and 83rd Street)

Zabb PuTawn offers authentic Thai cuisine from the Northern and Northeastern regions from Michelin-starred Chef Therdtus “Tony” Rittaprom. Zabb PuTawn offers a unique menu which features grilled options, larb (spicy ground meat salads), fish, duck, noodle soups, from the wok and more. 

While at Zabb PuTawn, be sure to try their Gaeng Panang, Gaprow, Chef Tony’s Gaeng Hunglay Ribs and Pad Thai.

Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill (1611 2nd Ave, between 83rd and 84th Street)

Bua Thai is a Thai, Ramen and Grill restaurant with a young, fun vibe. This restaurant features a variety of options including seafood, sushi, special rolls, buns, wok, curry, Thai ramen noodle soup and more. They are well-known for their instagrammable drinks such as their cocktails served in pineapples and melons.

While at Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill, be sure to try the Bua Noodle Soup, Thai Ramen Basil, Clay Pot Fried Rice, Ba Mee Gyo Moo Dang and Mango Sticky Rice.

Thai Hot Box (1598 3rd Ave, between 89th and 90th street)

Inspired by traditional recipes and natural ingredients, Thai Hot Box’s menu evokes the ambiance of “vintage night markets and vibrant streets of Bangkok.” Featuring delicious rice dishes, noodles, savory curries and attractive desserts, Thai Hot Box caters to a broad range of tastes and occasions.

While at Thai Hot Box, be sure to try the Chicken Satay, Drunken Noodle, Pla Jien (Tilapia) and Pad Cha.

Bangrak (1750 2nd Ave, between 91st and 92nd street)

Bangrak offers authentic Thai cuisine using fresh ingredients in a cozy and fun space filled with pink walls and florals.

While at Bangrak, be sure to try the Thai Fried Rice, Panang Curry, Chu Chee Salmon, Gra Prao Red Yang, and Thai Iced Tea. 

Krua (1764 1st Ave, between 91st and 92nd street)

Krua offers creative and modern Thai cuisine. They have an extensive menu including Koo Cha milk tea and fruit tea as well as appetizers, soups, curry, fried noodles, fried rice, wok and more. 

While at Krua, be sure to try their Crab Meat Burger, Pad Kra Prow, Veggie Dumplings and Drunken Noodle.

Marwin (1132 1st Ave, between 62nd and 63rd street)

Marwin is a traditional Thai restaurant with a nice ambiance and large menu to choose from. Marwin offers several different choices of entrees, appetizers and also offers a lunch special from Monday to Friday.

While at Marwin, be sure to try their Khao Soy, Eggplant Basil Tofu, Minced Chicken Basil, Noble Duck Curry and Peanut Sauce Lover.

This has to be one of the most hyped up openings on the Upper East Side as of recent. Our thoughts:
-Loved the vibes and the way that they totally transformed this space 
-Excellent cocktails 
-Be sure to visit during happy hour (Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00 PM) for $7 crushed tomato and mozzarella pizza (such a great deal)
